We completely understand your relationship with your gear company and it is not our goal to replace them. It is to save you time and money on opportunities where APT can fill the gap better than the gear company.

• Dodge takeoffs – We do our own take offs from our Dodge Film. We have heard too many times the costly mistakes that can be made by incorrect take offs and poor spec interpretation. You can be confident that each project is being reviewed for accuracy and that we will stand by what we quote.  When specs are not clear or provided on a project, the quick review of Engineer history can provide us enough information to quote the project.
• Millions of dollars of inventory – We stock several Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) that can immediately be shipped in the occasions when your contractor calls you last minute and needs something yesterday.  Even items not in stock can be shipped in 10 days or less.
• Fast submittals – We can have submittals sent to you within minutes of your request but a just a click of few buttons in our database. This information will include a cover page of all important players on the project and detailed product data including UL files etc.
• Fast quotes – We will always be available to provide fast response to your request.Upon review of the Engineer history in our database and/or specification, we will point out pertinent information to bullet point to put you in a position of strength, knowledge and confidence when quoting your customers.
• Engineering assistance – We have Engineers on staff to resolve issues such as rejections, spec interpretations and clarifications.
• Value engineering proposals and recommendations – We will be able to provide you the support and knowledge to provide recommendations on products that can help alleviate unnecessary cost on over budget projects.We have about eleven different series of products with different features and pricing. We can review Engineer and even in some cases owner histories. We can easily explain how a surge protector is just as good at 50% of the cost.
• Specification interpretation – It’s our job to resolve the issues with the engineer and make recommendations as to which products are acceptable.
• RA’s – APT stands behind our products. We offer an inclusive ten year standard warranty. In addition, we offer complimentary forensic analysis on returned products to check for issues on the distribution system. We can have an RA resolved in a matter of a few days by a few clicks of a button.

One of APT’s goals for 2012 has been to focus on giving back to the community. This week we did just that. On Tuesday, July 24, 2012, middle school students from the Science Center of Pinellas visited Advanced Protection Technologies for hands on learning about Engineering/Manufacturing. The Science Center of Pinellas hosts a summer camp for grades K-12. Each age group has various themed weeks throughout the summer. Week 7's topic for the middle school students was "Intro to Engineering." Part of the segment for the week was a field trip to a manufacturing plant.

APT was asked to host the field trip for the camp. On Tuesday morning, the students toured our facility and engaged in hands on experience in the manufacturing plant. They helped stuff boards, fed the wave soldering machine and witnessed APT’s Surge Protective Device (SPD) Can Test which demonstrates the ability of our surge protectors during a surge.

APT enjoyed having the students visit and was happy to be included in their summer camp experience and to assist in their hands on learning. We look forward to seeing this future generation of engineers again in the future.
